AAPF/IAPF Offer Informative "Laminitis 911" and "Thrush 911" Posters

The American Association of Professional Farriers (AAPF) and International Association of Professional Farriers (IAPF) have created two educational aids called "Laminitis 911" and "Thrush 911".  These 11” x 17” posters, printed on high gloss heavyweight paper, will make excellent additions to every stable, farm and ranch.  Both are available at no charge - including shipping and handling!

On the left hand side of the "Laminitis 911" poster readers will be able to learn:

On the left hand side of the "Thrush 911" poster readers will be able to learn:

On the right hand side of both posters, readers will be able to learn the same signs and steps in Spanish.

Images of healthy and laminitic or thrushy hooves can be found down the center of the respective poster.

Along the top edge, horse owners will be able to write in the phone numbers of their farrier and veterinarian.  The AAPF/IAPF strongly recommends a professional team of veterinarian and farrier working together to provide the best possible hoofcare for horses.

Surrounding the detailed text and images are the logos of the AAPF/IAPF Educational Partners who have covered the cost of creating and mailing these posters.  Over 12,000 of the "Laminitis 911" posters have already been distributed. Additional copies of both posters are now ready for shipping.

Posters will also be available at various upcoming horse owner, farrier and veterinary events including Equine Affaire in West Springfield, Mass., Cornell Farrier Conference in Ithaca, NY., and American Association of Equine Practitioners Convention in Orlando, Fla.  Posters may also be obtained from many of the AAPF/IAPF Educational Partners listed on the poster.

Special appreciation to American Farriers Journal, Anatomy of the Equine, Life Data Labs, Castle Bay Farm, Cherry Knoll Farm, International Equine Conference on Laminitis, and the AAPF/IAPF Horse Owner Education Committee.
