AAPF ANNOUNCES NEW SUBSIDIARY

In an effort to more fully recognize its global impact on the farrier industry, the American Association of Professional Farriers (AAPF) has created the International Association of Professional Farriers (IAPF).  The primary focus of the IAPF will be to recognize and support educational opportunities available for farriers throughout the world.

While being an autonomous Kentucky based non-profit corporation, the IAPF will operate under the same Board of Directors as the AAPF.

The Canadian Association of Professional Farriers (CAPF) will continue to operate under a similar arrangement with the AAPF, although the CAPF is a non-profit corporation recognized by the government of Canada.

The American Association of Professional Farriers was created in 2012 to represent the interests of professional farriers and others involved in the farrier industry.  The primary objectives of the associations are: continuing education, member support and serving as a hoof-care reference for horse owners.  The associations are headquartered in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
